Guernsey sprint September 2008
Weather was perfect all day, and scooter set up with modification to piston and extra boost port on cylinder. We were aiming to get in the 13's and feeling confident with the motor tweaks.
First run - warm up
Second run - better
Third run - 14.14 seconds (New Record), 91mph, 2.12 seconds 60 foot time, 2.76 seconds 100 foot time. All on cast iron cylinder and petrol, no methanol.
Forth run - Changed front cog as run out of gears run was a little slower but gears better just needed more power, time to change to methanol.
Fifth run - scoot wont run we can get it going but will not rev up, something wrong. We change to the new methanol mix and tweak carb but still not right.
Last run - Too knackered to bump start scoot anymore something wrong with set up, lets call it a day.
Who cares we beat our record and on petrol.
